You will work on a Welcome Trust ISSF-funded project entitled, Veterinary Lifecourse Immunity and Vaccine Efficacy. You will be based within the Veterinary Parasitology group at the Department of Infection Biology at the Institute of Infection and Global Health in Liverpool. Your core responsibilities will be to perform isolation and culture of bovine monocytes, conduct chromatin immunoprecipitation assays, prepare resultant samples for sequencing, and conduct qPCR with prepared RNA. You will be involved in occasional abattoir visits to collect tissue samples from large animals. You will be responsible for collection and analysis of data, keeping exemplary records and implementing Good Research Practice. You should be qualified to minimum BTEC National Level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. The post is available from 1 October 2018 until 31 August 2019. The hours of work will be 14 hours per week by arrangement.
