The School of Architecture Design and the Built Environment has an excellent record of graduate employment, delivering vocational courses with employability embedded at their heart. This is achieved through excellent relationships with industry and the employment of experts with extensive professional experience within the teaching team. We deliver well-established and highly successful professionally accredited courses in construction management, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer you will contribute to the academic management and development of courses, scholarly activity and research, and have the opportunity to develop commercial activities. The role also involves contributing to teaching Construction Management.
You will be expected to develop a published research profile and work with other academics in an active research group led by Professor Song Wu.
The role requires professional levels of knowledge and experience in one or more of the following specialisms: project management (pre and post contract activities), construction technology and modern methods of construction, construction project management Practices, construction resilience and sustainability, lean construction, procurement and contract, quantity surveying practices (pre and post contract activities). Most importantly you should have a passion and enthusiasm for teaching and nurturing the next generation of construction professionals.
Candidates with experience in further education, distance learning and higher apprenticeships are also encouraged.
