Appointment to Professorship will be dependent on meeting the criteria for professorship at LJMU.
We are seeking academic leaders to join a vibrant team of academics in the Liverpool Business School (LBS), Faculty of Business and Law. LBS was granted faculty status within the institution in 2017 and in 2019 the faculty was expanded to incorporate the School of Law.
You will play a key role in providing research leadership in the newly formed faculty. You will have an national/international profile in a sub-discipline of business and management studies, built on excellence in research, teaching and enterprise, as evidenced through high-quality publications, income generation, impact, networking and doctoral supervisions/examinations.
As well as developing and leading world-class research in your discipline, you will actively contribute to enhancing the research profile of LBS, through mentoring and facilitating the activity of other researchers in LBS with a view to building a strong research culture.
You will also make a key contribution within the School of Doctoral Management Studies, which is one of the three schools that sits within LBS, by contributing to the development and delivery of the School’s doctoral programmes and Management Knowledge Transfer Partnerships. The School is currently establishing a number of collaborative partnerships with international partners across the globe in relation to its DBA programme and it would be advantageous if willing to participate in overseas teaching delivery on the programme. There is also an expectation that you will contribute to the delivery of our executive education offerings, such as the executive MBA.
We are looking for team players that work well in a collegiate community of staff and postgraduate research students.
The faculty is open to applications from across the whole spectrum of business and management but is particularly interested in those with expertise in one of the following disciplines: Marketing, especially specialising in Retail/Digital Marketing, Organisational Design, Leadership and Management Development, Strategy and International Business, Finance and Accounting and Tourism and Events.
