Lecturer (Marketing) - Fixed Term 2 Years

The Department of Marketing, Retail and Tourism is one of the UK’s largest providers of education in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Advertising and Branding, Public Relations, Retail Management, Place Management and Tourism Management. Our undergraduate, apprenticeship, postgraduate and research degrees provide professionally focused education. Our key mission is to develop our students into highly employable, socially and environmentally responsible professionals.

Externally recognised for the quality of our teaching, the Department’s courses are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. We are home to the internationally renowned Institute of Place Management and an Institute of Travel and Tourism Centre of Excellence.

We are looking to appoint a Lecturer in Marketing (fixed-term 1 year) with expertise in brand management or strategy. Expertise in these fields focused on tourism is desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to teach on undergraduate, degree-apprenticeship and postgraduate courses, supervise students, provide pastoral support and undertake academic administrative duties. A track record of academic publications is desirable, and you will be supported to work to extend your research profile and that of the Department.

You will have experience of teaching marketing within higher education and preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate an ability to teaching and research in the field of brand management and strategy. You will be student-focused in your academic practice, highly collegiate and committed to your own professional development.
